'Next Iron Chef' Grills Food Network's Top Series Premiere Ratings

Second-Season Oct. 5 Debut Draws 2.1 Million Viewers

The second-season premiere of The Next Iron Chef  heated up the best numbers for a series bow in Food Network history.

The Oct. 4 telecast averaged 2.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen data. The show posted a 1.1 rating among adults 25 to 54.

The premiere of the competition series improved 33% over its debut on Oct. 7, 2007, according to network officials..
