Discovery Finds 1.8 Million Viewers For 'Ardi' Special
MCN Staff -- Multichannel News, 10/12/2009 1:25:00 PM
Discovery Channel's two hour special Discovering Ardi attracted 1.8 milion viewers on Sunday night, according to Nielsen data.
Orbiting around Ardipithecus ramidus (Ardi for short) a hominid that helps shed new light on human evolution, delivered 859,000 persons 25 to 54 from 9-11 p.m on Oct. 11.
That compares very similarly to History's special about The Link back in May, which examined Ida, a fossil that may be man's earliest known mammalian forbear. The show pulled in nearly 2 million watchers, including 900,000 of the aforementioned demo.

not sure why discovery is copying history channel's stuff but it was a nice program.
