Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 10/13/2009 12:51:39 PM

Horseracing fans now have access to a full stable of HRTV programming via a new broadband service.
Powered by NeuLion, HRTV's broadband channel, accessible online via its revamped Web site, www.hrtv.com, allows racing fans to stream the network's live TV feed round the clock.

Subscription rates to the state-of-the-art broadband offering are: $9.99 per month, $49.99 for six months or $89.99 for 12 months.
As part of introductory offer, subscribers may sign-up for an annual subscription prior to year-end and receive a year's subscription for only $49.99.

Among the major race tracks that HRTV, currently available in 18 million cable, satellite and telco video homes, covers: Churchill Downs, Pimlico, Belmont Park, Santa Anita, Gulfstream Park, Saratoga, Arlington Park, Laurel Park, Fair Grounds and Oaklawn Park.

"In collaboration with NeuLion, HRTV has developed a platform that will benefit horse fans across the globe and ensure that the great sport of horseracing is well-positioned as the digital future unfolds," said James Bates, executive vice president and general manager, HRTV, in a statement. "As trends toward convergence continue and our distribution partners seek creative strategies to leverage content across all devices, HRTV and HRTV.com is now well-positioned to play a meaningful role in the emerging world of broadband video."
