Rocco Goes Maverick

Mediacom CEO Guest Lectured At Fordham U. As Part OF Cable Center's Maverick Series

Mediacom Communications chairman and CEO Rocco Commisso guest lectured at Fordham University in The Bronx, N.Y., last Tuesday (Oct. 13), part of The Cable Center's Cable Mavericks series.

He spoke about growing up in The Bronx, his commitment to hard work — completing his MBA at Columbia University while working full-time — and stressed the importance of the entrepreneurial spirit he needed while building Mediacom. Students commented on his inspiring story, and felt a real connection with the “neighborhood kid who made it.”

The Cable Center worked with Fordham's Phil Napoli, associate professor, Graduate School of Business, to organize it.
