Outdoor Channel has improved its distribution position with Comcast in Utah.
The network, which previously had been available through the operator's sports tier, has been upgraded to its Digital Preferred level of service in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Logan, Utah, according to Outdoor Channel officials. Deal terms were not disclosed.
"Many subscribers in these markets are passionate outdoor enthusiasts who can now easily enjoy our high quality, category-leading hunting, fishing, shooting, and other outdoor related programming," said Outdoor Channel senior vice president, affiliate sales and marketing Randy Brown in a statement.
Noted Rodrigo Lopez, market vice president, Comcast: "Outdoor Channel is great fit for Utah. We are pleased to make the outdoor cable network more widely available in our market."
This is the latest in a series of distribution upgrades for Outdoor Channel on Comcast and Cox Communications systems.
