Arris has named Sandra Howe, previously a sales executive with Cisco Systems who worked closely with Time Warner Cable, as senior vice president of strategic market development.
Last week, Arris announced it had hired Ralph Galione as vice president of sales for the Comcast account, after he previously served in a similar position for Cisco.
Before joining Arris, Howe worked for 10 years at Cisco and Scientific Atlanta in various roles including director of business development. She worked with Time Warner Cable in launching several technologies, including switched digital video, digital simulcast, DVRs, and HD set-tops. Before joining Scientific Atlanta in 1999, Howe was regional account executive at Broadband Networks, in State College, Penn.
At Arris, Howe will assist the Arris product development and sales teams as part of coordinating long-range product and business strategy for North American cable operators. In that role, she'll also consult with senior staff at major MSOs, according to the company.
