Big Ten Network Rounds Up Rogers Distribution Deal

Sports Network Launching In Parts Of Ontario, New Brunswick

Rogers Communications is rolling out Big Ten Network to select parts of its service area.

Rogers digitalcable subscribers in parts of Ontario and New Brunswick will begin receiving the sports network today, with service being lit in phases over the next week.

Prior to launch, there will be free previews available on channel 385. The standard-definition version of Big Ten will be available on channel 408 to major systems Ontario and New Brunswick, while Big Ten HD will be available in Ontario major systems on channel 546. Following the free preview, the Big Ten Network will be available in the Rogers Sports Theme Pack.
Deal terms were not disclosed.
"There are many millions of Big Ten fans in Canada," said Big Ten Network president Mark Silverman in a statement. "We expect the Big Ten Network to become a popular destination for Rogers customers very quickly."
