Oxygens Weight Loss Show To Dance Again In 2010

Network Orders Second Season Of 'Dance Your Ass Off' From Magical Eleves

MCN Staff -- Multichannel News, 11/2/2009 2:36:00 PM

There will be a fresh batch of competitors dancing their buns off on Oxygen next year.
NBC Universal's women's targeted-network has ordered a second season of weight loss/dance competition series Dance Your Ass Off from Magical Elves (Top Chef) for a second run in 2010.
Combining the weight loss and dance competition genres, the hybrid series became Oxygen's most-watched freshman show in network history among women 18 to 49 (382,000) and adults 18 to 49 (494,000) and total viewers (more than 1 million), according to Nielsen data.
"We loved watching as contestants danced off nearly five hundred pounds, and are proud to bring our audience another season of this exciting competition format," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, senior vice president, original programming and development for Oxygen Media, in a statement. "We're looking forward to working with Magical Elves on Dance Your Ass Off' and with them we hope to inspire the entire country to eat healthy and get off the couch and dance!"
