TBS won't be alone when it lifts the curtain on the debut on late-night show Lopez Tonight, as sister services TNT and truTV will join the comedian's coming out party.
The Nov. 9 debut of Lopez Tonight will be simulcast on TBS, TNT and truTV at 11 p.m. with guests talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres, actress Eva Longoria-Parker and NBA star Kobe Bryant.
The show will then assume its regular Monday- through-Thursday night schedule on the "very funny" network.
"Lopez tonight is going to bring the party back to late-night television, so we want to be sure to invite as many people as possible," said Michael Wright, executive vice president, head of programming for TBS, TNT and Turner Classic Movies, in a statement. "With this premiere-night simulcast on three networks, we'll be able to introduce LOPEZ TONIGHT to a large and very diverse audience. We're confident that after they see the excitement of the premiere episode, they'll be back for more."
The show comes to TBS from 2.2 Productions, paraMedia Inc. and Telepictures Productions. Lopez is executive producing the show with Jim Paratore (The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Bonnie Hunt Show) and Mike Gibbons (The Late Late Show).
