Schedule Headed By TCU-Utah, Houston, Navy, Top-Rated HS Team

Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 11/11/2009 2:31:19 PM

CBS College Sports Network is set to kick off a big weekend of football action.

The network will air a Mountain West Conference match-up with Bowl Championship Series implications, present a pair of service academy games and showcase the nation's No. 1 high school team.
CBS College Sports will lead into its collegiate coverage on Friday The 13th with Cypress Bay visiting St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), the nation's top-ranked high school team at 8 p.m. (ET).
On Nov. 14, No. 12 Houston and Heisman hopeful quarterback Case Keenum visits UCF in Conference USA clash at noon. That contest will be followed by Delaware heading into Annapolis on Navy's senior day, as the Midshipmen come off their win against Notre Dame.
As for its top game, CBS College Sports will broadcast Inside College Football Live From Forth Worth at 7 p.m. as a lead-in to No. 16-ranked Utah squaring off against fourth-rated TCU at 7:30 p.m.
Adam Zucker hosts both the pregame, as well as the on-site postgame show, live from Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, along with Aaron Taylor and Tony Barnhart with Lauren Shehadi reporting. Taylor will join play-by-play man Tom Hart in the booth, with Shehadi on the sidelines.
The action concludes at midnight with TVMI at Army on tape delay.
"Saturday is a banner day for CBS College Sports Network, with our best ever lineup of college football. We have the biggest game of the day in No. 16 Utah at No. 4 TCU, which is also one of the biggest games of the year because of the BCS implications," said Steve Herbst, executive vice president and general Manager, CBS College Sports Network. "Fans also will be treated to a tremendous overall schedule of football that shows the network's array of coverage. We have one of the nation's top offenses led by a Heisman contender in No. 12 Houston at UCF, as well as the Midshipmen on senior day coming off their second win over Notre Dame in three years. We have a military matchup in West Point with VMI taking on a resurgent Army team, and also the nation's top high school football team on Friday night in St. Thomas Aquinas."
