Time Warner Cable Shuffles EVPs, Regions

West Region Grows, Carolina and Northeast Merge, Pagano Goes to Corporate

by Kent Gibbons -- Multichannel News, 11/12/2009 10:21:23 AM

In a move that means new roles for EVPs Stephen Pagano, William R. Goetz Jr. and Carol Hevey, Time Warner Cable has enlarged its West region by folding the National division into it and created an East region that merges the Northeast and Carolina regions.

Stephen Pagano of TWCStephen Pagano of TWCEllen East, TWC's executive vice president and chief communications officer, confirmed moves that were announced internally by chairman and CEO Glenn Britt on Oct. 30. She said Pagano (pictured r.) has taken a corporate EVP role, working on initiatives involving customer care and local programming. He had been EVP of operations in the West region, after overseeing TWC systems in Staten Island and Albany, N.Y.

Goetz succeeds Pagano as West region EVP of operations. He had held that role in the Northeast region.

For a look at TWC's management table a year ago, please read here.

The West region, with systems in California and Hawaii, is absorbing the Denver-based National Division, which contains about 700,000 subscribers in systems scattered among a dozen states.

The Northeast region, with (as of a year ago) 2.8 million subscribers in upstate New York and Maine, and the Carolina region, with 1.7 million subscribers in North and South Carolina, are folding into an East region. Carolina region EVP of operations Carol Hevey takes that title in the East.

The Texas, Midwest and New York City regions are unaffected. Their respective EVPs of operations are Barry Rosenblum, Terry O'Connell and Howard Szarfarc.

Each of the regions has a president of residential services, network operations & engineering and commercial services. In New York City, for example, those roles are filled by Jeffrey Hirsch, Ken Fitzpatrick and James Manchester, respectively.

East said the moves do not affect staff cuts or relocations.
