Comcast Cable-owned Versus sports network will expand its ice-based sports coverage beyond National Hockey League games into speed skating when it televises an international speed skating competition beginning Nov. 14. Versus will air a two-hour highlights package from International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup Short Track Speed Skating competition on both Nov. 14 and Nov. 15, said network officials. Coverage includes the Men's and Women's finals for the 500m, 1000m and 1500m races. The competition, which features more than 200 of the world's best athletes from over 34 nations, is the final qualifying event before the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
