Saget To Host New A&E Series

`Strange Days' To Focus On Unusual Ways Americans Live Their Lives

by R. Thomas Umstead -- Multichannel News, 11/17/2009 1:19:06 PM

Comedian Bob Saget will host a new A&E Network reality series that looks at different and often strange American cultures and habits.
The series, tetntatively titled Bob Saget's Strange Days focuses on unusual ways people go about living their lives from mail-order brides to a survivalist cult prepping for the end of the world, said network executives. Saget, star of the 1980s sitcom Full House and host of America's Funniest Home Videos, will host the seven one-episode series which is slated for a 2010 premiere.
"Bob Saget has been a part of the television landscape for years, but now we'll be seeing him in a completely different light as he travels the country to explore ways of living that most of us know nothing about," said Robert Sharenow, senior vice president of nonfiction and alternative programming for A&E in a statement. "The show will reveal hidden corners of the real America and the real Bob Saget, who is even funnier and more relatable when just being himself than any other role he's ever played."
