Time Warner Cable Reaches Retrans Pact With Local TV

Four-Year Extension Covers Four Stations

The nation's No. 2 cable operator said it has entered into a comprehensive four-year agreement that will extend retransmission consent for Local TV's broadcast television stations carried by its systems.

The stations are primarily Fox affiliates, located in Kansas City, Mo., Greensboro, N.C., Milwaukee and Cleveland.

Deal terms were not disclosed.

On Dec. 7, Time Warner Cable inked a one-year extension with Sinclair Broadcasting Group of their retransmission-consent agreement, which was scheduled to expire on Dec. 31. The pact averts any disruption of service for Sinclair stations on Time Warner Cable systems in such markets as Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton, Ohio; Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester, N.Y.; San Antonio;, Portland, Me.; Milwaukee; Greensboro and Raleigh, N.C.; and Tampa (managed by Bright House Networks).
