Spike TV's Dec. 5 The Ultimate Fighter season 10 finale pinned down 3.7 million viewers, the biggest final episode audience for the UFC-produced, mixed martial arts reality series.
The live telecast of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights --which marked the UFC debut of popular mixed martial arts wrestler Kimbo Slice, who earned a decision win in his fight -- was the third most watched UFC fight card ever, according to the network. Roy "Big Country" Nelson was crowned the winner of the series after knocking out Brendan Schaub in the show's main event bout.
Overall, season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter averaged 3.4 million viewers, well above the 2 million viewers the series averaged over its previous nine seasons.
