Versus plans 30-minute daily highlight shows as part of its coverage of the 2010 Dakar Rally.
Comcast's national sports service will, beginning at Jan. 3 at 3:30 p.m. through Jan. 18, run half-hour recaps of the extreme race, featuring 370 bikes, quads, cars and trucks. There will also be encore showings over that span at 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, Jan. 24, at 3 p.m., Versus will air an additional 30-minute show to recap the entire 2010 competition, which takes place in Chile and Argentina. This marks the second straight year the 14-stage competition, covering some 5500 miles, will take place in South America. The race begins and ends in Buenos Aires, with treks through the Andes Mountains and the sand dunes of the Atacama Desert.
