Comcast Opens ESPN On Demand
Content Includes Winter X Games, Documentaries, College Hoops, Football, World Cup

Comcast has launched ESPN On Demand.
The top cable operator's on-demand menu now includes programming from the sports programmer, with the launch coming in time to include some 10 hours of content from the upcoming Winter X Games 14, slated from Jan. 28-31 from Aspen, Colo.
Other content that will be available to Comcast digital-cable subscribers via ESPN On Ddemand includes: documentaries under ESPN's '30 for 30' film series; college football, including Alabama's victory over Texas in the BCS National Championship Game; upcoming 2010 FIFA World Cup action from South Africa; classic boxing matches; and college basketball conference championship games, both past and present.
Comcast secured on-demand rights from ESPN, as part of a far-reaching, mulityear deal the sports giant's parent The Walt Disney Co. signed with the cable company in November 2006.
Under that agreement, Comcast has made on-demand content from Disney Channel, ABC and Disney XD available to its subscribers.
