Mayweather-Mosley To Mix It Up On May Day
Bout Would Be Second Big PPV Bout In 2010

It was a good Friday for the boxing industry and pay-per-view providers as Floyd Mayweather and "Sugar" Shane Mosley agreed to a May 1 bout.
The match, in which Mosley will defend his welterweight title,will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and be televised by HBO PPV, according to reports.
If the fight goes off as scheduled, multichannel providers will get their second big boxing PPV opportunity of 2010 -- and perhaps be poised to stage a true megafight later in the year.
Recognized pound-for-pound boxing champion Manny Pacquiao will fight former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey at the new Cowboys Stadium in Dallas on March 1, with HBO PPV in the ring.
Negotiations for what would have been a true blockbuster on March 13, Pacquiao- Mayweather, collapsed earlier this month, amidst finger-pointing and bad blood. Pacquiao refused a demand by the Mayweather camp to submit to random drug testing of the fighters leading up to and after the fight. Pacquiao then sued the Mayweather camp and the fighter's promoter, Golden Boy Productions, alleging that they made false and defamatory statements that Pacquiao has taken performance-enhancing drugs.
In the meantime, Pacquiao-Clottey was made and a match between Mayweather and Andre Berto was scheduled for HBO on Jan. 30. However, the Haitian-American Berto, who lost eight family members in the recent Haiti earthquake, withdrew from the fight.
Should Pacquiao and Mayweather win their upcoming matches, some in the boxing community, including HBO Sports president Ross Greenburg, have expressed hope that the fighters can put their differences aside for what would be a giant payday all around.

Nothing is final until that bell rings. Mayweather also agreed to fight Pacquaio initially but after Pacquaio agreed to the terms, Mayweather started coming up with ridiculous demands. I bet the same thing will happen with Mosley.
