'BET Honors' Draws 2.4 Million Viewers

Show's Performance Slightly Below Last Year's Event

Black Entertainment Television's Feb. 1 telecast of its third annual BET Honors speical drew 2.4 million viewers.
The show, which recognized the accomplishments of Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Keith Black, and Ruth Simmons, fell short of last year's event, which drew 2.5 million viewers. The show did post a 245% increase for BET in its 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. time slot compared to the same period last year and finished as ad-supported cable's number one weeknight entertainment special for 2010.
The BET Honors special, hosted by actress Gabrielle Union, featured appearances by artists Stevie Wonder, Trey Songz, India.Arie, Jazmine Sullivan, Patti Labelle, Take 6, Mary J. Blige, Kim Burrell, Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Leslie and Maxwell.
