TNT To Dribble Interactivity Into Its Thursday Night NBA Coverage

Network To Provide Live Tweets And Multiple Online Camera Coverage of Doubleheader Telecasts

 Turner Sports is taking TNT's March 25 live NBA coverage interactive, providing fans with multiple online and social media access throughout its live doubleheader game telecast.

As part of its TNT NBA Thursday coverage of the Miami Heat-Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks-Portland Trailblazers games, the network - along with sister digital services NBA TV and NBA.com - will provide live Twitter reports, special player and game camera feeds, exclusive HD pocket cam videos and a live stream chat, according to network officials.
During the Heat-Bulls game, TNT on-air personalities Kenny Smith from Chicago, Craig Sager and Chris Webber will tweet via the league's TweetMix Channel courtside commentary and analysis of on-and-off the court action. In addition, nba.com's TNT Overtime Extra online application will provide a mosaic view allowing users to watch four exclusive camera angles at one time, including player cams which each quarter will cover an individual Heat and Bulls star as voted on by fans.
During halftime of the Mavericks-Trailblazers game, TNT personality Kevin McHale will take questions from fans via Facebook and Twitter as part of a live stream chat. Also,TNT NBA Thursday studio host Ernie Johnson

will take fans behind the scenes of TNT's production meeting via an HD pocket video camera to provide a peek into the inner workings of the Emmy award-winning telecast.
"This is a great opportunity to combine the production resources and talent of TNT and NBA Digital to create an entertaining, innovative and immersive experience for viewers watching at home and following online," said Jeff Behnke, senior vice president and executive producer for Turner Sports in a statement.
