Dish Network Launches AMC HD
First Satellite Provider To Launch The HD Service

Dish Network today announced the first satellite televsion launch of AMC's high definition feed.
AMC HD, which offers the network's Emmy Award-winning series Breaking Bad and Mad Men, will be located on Dish Network Ch. 130 and is available free to customers who subscribe to America's Top 200 and above, as well as DishLatino DOS with HD and higher, said the company.
"Dish Network continues to lead the way in offering the best collection of HD channels in the nation, and we are excited to now bring our customers the award-winning drama Mad Men in high definition on AMC HD," said Dave Shull, senior vice president of programming for Dish Network in a statement.
AMC's president Charlie Collier added that Dish "has a strong HD offering and we're excited to be joining their lineup."

This is fantastic!. Until recently, I had a real problem with the fact that Dish did not carry BBC-America and AMC in high-def. Because of this I had to watch my favorite shows (Top Gear, Being Human, Mad Men, Rubicon) in standard def. NO LONGER! Nicely done Dish! I won't say anything bad about you for the next ten minutes.

I enjoy dish network , ive beeb a satisfied customer for over 4 yrs and i am happy they continue to add hd programming , my only question is what is the main problem and are they working on getting MLB Network , a long time baseball fan here and i wish they would add it
