Outdoor Channel Ready For 'Preferred' Positioning In Colorado

Independent Hunting, Fishing Network Will Upgrade To Comcast Digital Preferred Tier On Aug. 24

Outdoor Channel is poised to broaden its presence on Comcast systems serving southern Colorado.
The hunting, fishing, shooting and adventure programming network on Aug. 24 will move to the top MSO's Digital Preferred tier throughout southern Colorado from sports tier positioning. Additionally, the network is also available to Comcast customers in southern Colorado on the HD tier. Deal terms were not disclosed.
"Outdoor enthusiasts are abundant in Colorado, which is known for its beautiful, varied terrain of mountains, mesas, plains, rivers, and canyons," said Outdoor Channel executive vice president, affiliate sales and marketing Randy Brown in announcing the upgrade. "Outdoor Channel's increasingly popular pipeline of new and original content is really resonating with viewers and distributors in a tremendous way, and we're excited to reach a broader audience in Colorado."
Noted Chris Shea, Vice President Marketing and Sales, Comcast Mile High Region: "We are delighted to extend the reach of the Outdoor Channel in southern Colorado. Southern Colorado residents have a deep passion for the great outdoors, and we are excited to make Outdoor Channel more widely available to our existing and prospective subscribers."
