AMC
AMC has tapped Nancy Kane Leidersdorff as vice president, media planning. She comes from Nickelodeon Networks, where she was VP, media planning.
Also, AMC has named Allison Hoffman to the new post of vice president, creative and brand strategy. She had been director, consumer marketing for the network.
Finally, Ben Davis was promoted to vice president, scripted programming from director, development and current programming; and Susan Golberg was upped to vice president, production from director.

BABYFIRSTTV
Itamar Daube was elevated to vice president, creative, at BabyFirstTV. He had been creative director.

CHARTER
Gregory S. Rigdon was elevated to executive vice president, corporate development and strategy at Charter Communications. He had been senior vice president, business development.

COMEDY CENTRAL
Steve Grimes has joined Comedy Central as senior vice president, digital media. He comes from trading-card company Topps, where he had been VP, chief digital officer.

DIY
Kent Takano was named to the new post of executive producer, branded entertainment at DIY Network. He had been VP, original programming at FLN.

ECHOSTAR
Ken Carroll was named chief operating officer at EchoStar Satellite Services. He comes from satellite-broadband firm WildBlue, where he was chief operating officer.

FOX SOCCER
Whit Haskel has joined Fox Soccer Channel as vice president, marketing and business development. An independent marketing consultant, he was the senior VP and GM of Major League Soccer’s Chivas USA from 2004 to 2007.

HALO GROUP
New York-based The Halo Group has added Garrick M. Gelinas as senior vice president, director of client services. He comes from Ogilvy in New York.

THE HUB
Michael Grover has joined The Hub as director, consumer marketing. He comes from Cartoon Network, where he was marketing manager.
Also, Cindy Slocki has joined The Hub as director, integrated marketing solutions. She had served as brand director at United Media.

SPT
Sony Pictures Television has advanced Kim Hatamiya to executive vice president, marketing. She was senior VP, international marketing.

TV GUIDE NETWORK
Friday Abernethy has joined TV Guide Network as executive vice president, affiliate sales and marketing. She comes from MTV Networks, where she was VP, national accounts/field operations.

TURNER
Turner Broadcasting System has advanced Walker Jacobs to executive vice president, Turner/SI Digital Ad Sales. He had previously served as senior vice president, Turner Sports and Entertainment Digital.
Also, Andrea Ching was elevated to senior vice president, marketing and promotions at Turner/SI Digital, from VP.

WEATHER
The Weather Channel Cos. has added Jennifer Dangar as executive vice president, distribution and business development. She comes from Discovery Communications, where she was senior VP, domestic distribution.
