For those who didn't see the first time round, or want to check it out again, Sundance Channel is re-airing Golden Globe Award-winning miniseries Carlos on Thursday and then next month on demand.
The miniseries, a portrait of the infamous international terrorist known as "Carlos the Jackal," who masterminded attacks in Europe and the Middle East in the 1970s and 1980s, won Sundance Channel's first Golden Globe on Sunday night, taking honors in the best miniseries or motion picture made for television category.
On Thursday Jan. 20, Sundance, which premiered the project on Oct. 11, 2010, will encore it at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Carlos will then become available on Sundance Channel on Demand, starting on Feb. 2.
"Carlos is a gripping, epic story and we are incredibly proud that our first entry into scripted, brand-defining programming has been so well received, resulting in Sundance Channel's first Golden Globe Award,"said Sarah Barnett, Sundance Channel executive vice president and general manager in a statement.. "[The] win is especially gratifying given the great company we found ourselves in. Thanks to the Hollywood Foreign Press and congratulations to all of our fellow nominees and winners."
In the all cable-nominated category, Carlos topped HBO World War II miniseries, The Pacific, the premium network's telepics You Don't Know Jack and Temple Grandin, and Starz's Pillars of the Earth.
