Fox Networks Promotes Bigalow To SVP Of Affiliate Marketing

Exec Oversees Group's Strategic Efforts, Marketing Initiatives With Distributors

Fox Networks has elevated Jamia Bigalow to senior vice president of affiliate marketing.

In her new role, Bigalow, who had been serving as vice president of affiliate marketing, will oversee the group's strategic efforts that support affiliate sales and generate greater brand awareness for its portfolio of services. Her group also is responsible for developing marketing initiatives that enhance partnerships between Fox and its key carriers.

Fox Networks' Jamia BigalowAs vice president, Bigalow created and managed affiliate marketing strategies for the division's entertainment brands, including FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, and Fox Movie Channel. She also developed marketing initiatives that supported the distribution of services within Fox Networks' portfolio and directed the development of campaigns and promotions that aligned business objectives of the channels and affiliates.

"Jamia's innovation and leadership have helped the affiliate marketing group achieve tremendous success during her nearly six years with Fox Networks," said Mike Hopkins, president of Fox Networks affiliate sales and marketing, to whom she will report. "Her experience managing nearly every aspect of our affiliate marketing and local ads sales programs will be extremely valuable as we continue to grow our cable channels, transition the broadcast network to a dual revenue stream model and create digital extensions for all our businesses."

Prior to joining Fox Networks in 2005, Bigalow was director of affiliate marketing for the NFL Network, and kicked off a marketing program that helped the pro football league's in-house channel reach 20 million subscribers in less than a year.

Bigalow's resume also includes entries as a manager of affiliate marketing for Fox Family Channel and director of affiliate marketing at the cable network, where she developed cornerstone promotions. When Fox Family was acquired by ABC/Disney in 2002, Bigalow continued as director of affiliate marketing for ABC Cable Networks Group until 2003.

Bigalow, a member of Multichannel News's 2010 class of "40 Under 40" industry notables, holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Arizona State University. She has been a member of both Women in Cable Telecommunications and CTAM since 1997. She currently serves as vice chair of the CTAM Mark Awards Committee.
