WICT Seeks Accolade Noms
Awards To Be Presented At Signature Luncheon June 14 At Cable Show

Women in Cable Telecommunications issued a call for nominations for the 2011 Signature Accolades, the organization's most prestigious award for original cable programming. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 15, at 5 p.m. ET.
The 2011 Accolades will be presented take place at the WICT Signature Luncheon in conjunction with The 2011 Cable Show, on Tuesday, June 14, at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The Signature Accolades salute excellence in cable's portrayal of women by recognizing three original television productions.
Accolades will be presented in each of the following categories (new this year):
--Documentary/Biographical Series or Special.
--Scripted Drama or Comedy Series or Special.
--Reality/Lifestyle Series or Special.
WICT CEO Maria Brennan said in a release: "Our cable industry partners are producing top quality programming which present women in multifaceted, ground-breaking roles. We are delighted to pay tribute to their exemplary work through the WICT Signature Accolades."
Each submission must have premiered in 2010. Further details and the nomination form can be found at this link.
An independent awards review committee comprised of industry leaders will review all nominations and select final winners. Winners will be notified the week of April 25.
