Mike Reynolds -- Multichannel News, 6/15/2011 2:41:32 PM

CBS Sports Network recently scored launches and upgrades with a number of Comcast systems.
The 24-hour sports channel dedicated to covering college sports bowed in standard- and high-definition formats and on Comcast systems in Miami, Charleston, SC and Savannah, Ga. on Xfinity TV's Digital Preferred Tier.
Moreover, the network became more widely available on Xfinity TV's Digital Preferred Tier to Comcast customers in Chicago, Detroit, the San Francisco Bay Area, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Seattle, Portland, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Northern New Jersey and Tucson, Ariz.
All told, CBS Sports Network -- which today announced that it will begin airing the nationally syndicated radio program, the Tim Brando Show, in August -- and added former Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez to its roster of college football analysts --  has gained more than 4 million subscribers in the first five months of 2011, and now reaches 43 million homes, while being available to approximately 95 million households.

The network has also added former Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez to its roster of college football analysts.

"We're excited about this momentum, which increases the network's visibility in key markets. As we prepare for football season this fall, including the launch of our new weekday program, the Tim Brando Show, we look forward to showcasing our enhanced programming to more fans than ever before," said David Berson, executive vice president, CBS Sports and president, CBS Sports Network.
