Green Bay-Minnesota Draws 14.2 Million 'MNF' Viewers
Game Stands As Cable's Ninth-Most-Watched Show In 2011

It wasn't much of game, but ESPN's Nov. 14 Monday Night Football averaged over 14.2 million viewers to rank as cable's ninth-largest audience of 2011.
The contest -- a 45-7 rout by the undefeated, defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers over the struggling Minnesota Vikings -- scored a 10.1 cable rating, an 8.7 national mark, 9.99 million households and just under 14.2 million viewers, according to Nielsen data.
The delivery gave ESPN the night among all TV networks with key male and adult demos, while the worldwide leader finished second behind Disney broadcast brethren ABC among households and viewers.
MNF led all programs Monday night in the delivery of key male demos and persons18 to 34 and 18 to 49, and finished second among adults 25 to 54.
Green Bay-Minnesota now ranks as the eighth-largest audience on cable television in calendar year 2011 in households and ninth among viewers.
The performance helped ESPN boost its season average over 11 games to a 9.8 cable rating (8.4 nationally), 9.68 million households and almost 13.3 million viewers.
With a half-dozen games to go, those marks trail ESPN's 2010 MNF averages of a 10.5 rating (9.1 nationally) 10.5 million homes and 14.7 million watchers -- the best for any cable franchise in the medium's history.
