Dozen 'Women to Watch' Slated By 'MCN'

Will Be Celebrated, With ‘Wonder Women' Class, At March 13 Event

Multichannel News today named a dozen leading female executives in the cable-TV industry as the 2012 class of "Women to Watch."

They will be celebrated -- along with the 14th annual class of "Wonder Women" -- at a luncheon at the New York Hilton on March 13. The Jan. 30 edition of Multichannel News will include profiles of the 12 Wonder Women and 12 Women to Watch.

The Women to Watch, listed alphabetically, are:

Sarah Barnett, executive vice president and general manager, Sundance Channel.

Maria Perez Brown, senior vice president of programming and development, nuvo TV.

Denise Denson, EVP of content distribution and marketing, Viacom Media Networks and BET Networks.

Nancy Kanter, SVP of original programming and general manager, Disney Junior Worldwide.

Kimberly Maki, VP of corporate communications and Web strategies, Bright House Networks.

Heather Moran, SVP of programming and strategic development, National Geographic Channel.

Michelle Rice, EVP of affiliate sales and marketing, TV One.

Kelly Ryan, VP of content business development, BlackArrow.

Angie Simmons, EVP of multichannel platforms, QVC.

Martha Soehren, SVP and chief learning officer, Comcast and Comcast University.

Kathy Timko, CEO of Canoe Ventures.

Michelle Wilson, chief marketing officer, WWE.
