Showtime Treading with 'Walk of Shameless' in Manhattan
Contestants in Charity Event Must Engage in 'Acts of Shame'

As shameless as William H. Macy, Emmy Rossum and the rest of their fictional Gallagher family is on the Showtime original series, fans of the show are engaging in a few unprincipled acts of their own in the name of charity.
The premium network is hosting its "Walk of Shameless" competition for charity in Manhattan. Located at 22nd and Avenue of the Americas, the five-day event is an endurance competition featuring six, three-member teams from across the n
ation competing to take home $50,000, plus $10,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.
During the course of the competition, a host periodically poses questions about the show, and if the participants answer incorrectly, they must complete such "acts of shame" as groping a blow up doll, sucking their teammate's toes or wearing diapers on their heads.
If more than one team is standing at the end on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m., the team with the most tweets and texts wins. Rossum, who plays eldest daughter Fiona on Shameless, CNN newsman and syndicated host Anderson Cooper, Entourage's Ari Gold, Jeremy Piven and NBAer and former Mr. Kim Kardashian Kris Humphries have all weighed in on social media.
