Wechsler to Get Original at NBC Sports Network
Ex-ESPN Exec Will Develop Original Programming at NBCU's National Cable Sports Net

Looking to buttress the lineup for its national cable network, NBC Sports Group has hired Ron Wechsler from EPSN.
Weschsler, to be based in New York and reporting to NBC Sports Network president of programming Jon Miller, will serve as vice president of original programming for the service, creating fresh fare for the channel formerly known as Versus.
During his time at the worldwide leader, Wechsler worked as vice president of series development and production in ESPN's content development outfit. Among his more recent projects: docuseries ESPNU Road Trip and The Battle. He also oversaw the documentary series SEC: Storied.
"Ron has a rich history of relationships with key marketers and brands in our business," said Miller in announcing the hire. "He brings a wealth of experience, creativity and innovative ideas, and we are excited to have him head our original programming division as we grow the NBC Sports Network."
