Hallmark Acquires Northern Exposure

Hallmark Channel will be getting a little Northern Exposure starting next month.

Hallmark -- which was officially relaunched from Odyssey Network Aug. 5 -- will begin broadcasting the quirky series exclusively Oct. 1 at 11 p.m. The network will strip the series Mondays through Fridays.

The skein -- which will end its run on A&E Network at month's end -- stars Rob Morrow as a Columbia University medical-school graduate who winds up playing doctor in Cicely, Alaska, as the result of a deal he made in exchange for his government-financed education.
