History Makes History in 1Q

The History Channel said Tuesday that the first quarter of 2004 was its best quarter ever.
The network achieved its highest Nielsen Media Research primetime average household rating with a 1.0, up 11% from a 0.9 in the first quarter of 2003.
History also posted its most-watched quarter ever, averaging 1.2 million viewers compared with 933,000 in the year-ago quarter.
The network said it reached 559,000 adults 25-54 primetime impressions during the quarter, up 23% versus the year-earlier period.
It also posted its highest men 25-54 primetime impressions with 402,000, up 22% from the fourth quarter of 2002.
