Hughes Names Three Executive VPs

Hughes Electronics Corp. said Tuesday that it has named Bruce Churchill, Larry Hunter and Romulo Pontual executive vice presidents.

Churchill joins Hughes as chief financial officer. He had been president and chief operating officer at Star, News Corp.’s Asian satellite-TV and multimedia service.

Hunter had been senior VP and general counsel, and he will retain the latter role.

Pontual had been executive VP at News Corp.’s Television Platforms unit.

The company also promoted Pat Doyle to senior VP, controller, treasurer and chief accounting officer.
