HDNet Covers Mideast Conflict
By Monica Hogan -- Multichannel News, 4/8/2002 8:07:00 AM
High-definition-television programmer HDNet said Monday that it will launch HDTV news coverage from the Middle East Monday night with the HDNet World Report. Monday's installment, 'Inside Israel: Voices of Anguish, Voices of Anger,' will include reports from Ramallah, Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Reporter Peter Arnett will interview people on both sides of the conflict.
HDNet was founded by Mark Cuban, and it is shown exclusively on DirecTV Inc.'s direct-broadcast satellite service.
Subscribers pay no additional programming fee to receive the channel as long as they have HDTV-ready satellite receivers and televisions.
