Core Scores More Cash

Core Networks has raised $5.7 million in an additional round of funding led by ACF Equity Atlantic Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., MM Ventures Partners and Skypoint Capital Corp.

Core plans to use the money to accelerate development of its next-generation operation-support-systems platform.

The company also plans to boost marketing for its "CoreMeter" network-assurance product.
