Starz, Encore Plan ‘The Weekend’

Starz Encore Group LLC’s Starz! and Encore networks will celebrate "The Weekend" -- as in, the weekend before the Academy Awards -- with a 48-hour marathon of Oscar-winning films.
Encore’s schedule for Friday, Feb. 27: Unforgiven at 8 p.m., Aliens at 10:15 p.m.
Encore’s schedule for Saturday, Feb. 28: The English Patient at 12:35 a.m., An Officer and a Gentleman at 2:35 a.m., Blue Sky at 5:35 a.m., True Grit at 7:30 a.m., The Sting at 9 a.m., Sling Blade at noon, Unforgiven at 2:30 p.m., Witness at 4:45 p.m., The Color of Money at 6:50 p.m.
Starz!’s schedule for Saturday, Feb. 28: Chicago at 9 p.m., 8 Mile at 11 p.m.
Starz!’s schedule for Sunday, Feb. 29: Black Hawk Down at 1 a.m., Frida at 3:30 a.m., Gosford Park at 5:35 a.m., Chicago at 8 a.m., Monsters, Inc. at 10 a.m., The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at 11:35 a.m., The Pianist at 2:35 p.m., Chicago at 5:05 p.m.
