Charter Joins WICT Leadership Circle

The Women in Cable & Telecommunications Foundation said Wednesday that Charter Communications Inc. has signed on to become a member of the “2004 WICT Leadership Circle.”

The MSO joins Cox Communications Inc., Comcast Corp., MTV Networks and Time Warner Cable.

The WICT Leadership Circle supports the group's programs, services and advocacy, as well as presenting the annual WICT Foundation Benefit Gala, which will be held at the Hilton in Washington, D.C., Nov. 3 and include the presentation of the “Accolades,” WICT's most prestigious awards.

“As an advocate of women in leadership positions, it's our hope that Charter's participation in the Leadership Circle will further this cause throughout the industry by our funding of WICT's outstanding programs and services toward this end," Charter CEO Carl Vogel said in a prepared statement.
