Band of Ratings Records for History

The debut of former Home Box Office miniseries Band of Brothers made ratings history for The History Channel Sunday.

The first night of the 10-part World War II miniseries earned a 3.7 Nielsen Media Research household rating and 4.6 million total viewers, History’s highest ever on both counts.

History’s Mail Call benefited from the strong lead-in, following Band of Brothers with a 2.2 household rating and 2.7 million viewers, both records for that series.
