Turner Network Television has acquired the off-network rights to Angel beginning this fall through a deal with Twentieth Television.
The drama network will begin airing the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff, which is now in its fourth season on The WB Television Network, weekdays in the third quarter as part of its "Primetime in the Daytime" lineup, which includes Law & Order, NYPD Blue, ER, The X-Files and Charmed.
TNT's deal, terms of which were not disclosed, gives the network access to Angel's 88-episode library. Sources placed the per-episode price tag at some $300,000.
