Blue Ridge Gets Disney Kids’ Programming for SVOD

Blue Ridge Communications’ subscription-video-on-demand service will get a taste of Disney.

ABC Cable Networks Group said Monday that it will provide about 10 hours of kids’ programming per month from Disney Channel’s “Playhouse Disney” block for preschoolers, as well as Disney Channel Original Movies and original series for kids and tweens.

The Disney fare will be offered as part of Blue Ridge’s “Kids Unlimited” SVOD package. It will be updated on a monthly basis and uniquely packaged and scheduled.

“Disney is synonymous with quality kids’ programming, and we are pleased that they have partnered with us to provide our customers access to Disney TV programs as part of our robust Kids Unlimited SVOD package,” Blue Ridge general manager Mark Masenheimer said in a prepared statement.
