Voom’s HDNews Set for Election

The presidential election has officially gone high-definition.

HDNews, Rainbow DBS’ Voom’s news channel, will offer live HD coverage of the election Tuesday, including reports from Boston; Washington, D.C.’ Chicago; Newport Beach, Calif.; and the Board of Elections in Tallahassee, Fla.

John Ehrenberg, chairman of Long Island University’s political-science department, and Niger Innis, national spokesperson for the Congress of Racial Equality, will join HDNews’ regular anchors and provide election-night commentary.

HDNews is one of the Cablevision Systems Corp.-owned HD direct-broadcast satellite service’s “Voom HD Originals.”
