Bob McCauley has joined Adlink, Los Angeles, to head the interconnect's new Adlink Sports unit as vice president, Adlink Sports. He comes from the Washington Redskins, where he was VP, broadcast and marketing for the National Football League team.

Arbitron Inc., New York, has elevated Carol Hanley to senior vice president, advertiser and agency services. She had been vice president of sales for that unit.

Larry Watzman was elevated to vice president, creative services at CN8: The Comcast Network. A former consultant and founder of the promotions agency PromoSapiens, he has been with CN8 since 2000.

Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic elevated to sales staffers: Jennifer Bowden, formerly senior account executive, to general sales manager in Washington; and John Kaulius to general sales manager, Baltimore.

Cox Communications Inc. elevated Elena Arosemena to director, customer service at its Atlanta headquarters. A 15-year Cox veteran, she worked in the Orange County, Calif., and San Diego systems in various capacities.
Also, Cox's Middle America unit has appointed Calvin Naylor Jr. as vice president, customer care. He had been director, customer care in Cox's Pensacola, Fla., system.

Hallmark Channel elevated two staffers in its corporate communications and program publicity departments: Stephanie Aaronson was named director, corporate communications, based in New York; and Amber Williams was made manager, network program publicity, based in Los Angeles.

Donna Friedman Meir was named president, kids' programming and production at National Geographic Television & Film, based in Los Angeles. She comes from Kids WB!

The National Cable Television Institute has elevated Alan Babcock to chief learning officer. He had been vice president, learning and development.

Time Warner Cable named George Rentz senior vice president, customer care at the MSO's national division headquarters in Denver. He had served as the division's director, operations.

Home-networking software provider Ucentric Systems named George Hillier as vice president of sales. Hillier comes from OpenTV Inc., where he was executive sales director.
