CMR to Monitor More Cable Nets

By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 4/2/2002 1:00:00 PM

CMR, a unit of Taylor Nelson Sofres, announced Tuesday that it will soon begin monitoring ad spending on seven additional cable networks, for a total of 44.

CMR media group senior vice president Carl Dickens said the seven additional cable programmers to be added later this spring are American Movie Classics, sister WE: Women's Entertainment, ESPN Classic, Galavisión, Outdoor Life Network, Oxygen and Speed Channel.

Dickens added that CMR will add Univision Communications Inc.'s recently launched Hispanic network, TeleFutura, for a total of 10 broadcast-television networks.

Among Hispanic networks, CMR (formerly Competitive Media Reporting) had already been tracking Telemundo and Univision, he noted.
