Dish Launches TV Guide Channel

EchoStar Communications Corp.’s Dish Network direct-broadcast satellite service launched Gemstar-TV Guide International Inc.’s TV Guide Channel Wednesday.

Dish added the network to its most widely distributed programming package, “America's Top 60,” which brought TV Guide’s total distribution near 80 million.

The network was also added to EchoStar’s “Dish Latino Dos” and “Dish Latino Max” packages.

“TV Guide Channel provides Dish Network customers with television information they can use in an entertaining format, and we are pleased to add this feature to our channel lineup," Dish vice president of programming Eric Sahl said in a prepared statement.
