A&E Catches Holiday Fever

A&E Network is getting ready for the holidays with five world-premiere specials set for December.
The five specials are:
• Holiday Ice Dreams, Thursday, Dec. 4 from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. EST/PST, featuring figure-skating stars Ekaterina Gordeeva, Ilia Kulik, Oksana Baiul, Paul Wylie, Brasseur and Eisler, Jennifer Kirk and others.
• Barry Manilow Christmas: Live by Request, Friday, Dec. 5 from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. EST/PST, during which Manilow will take requests for Christmas songs and perform them with a band, an orchestra, and special guests, including Cyndi Lauper.
• Holiday at Pops!, Friday, Dec. 12 from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. EST/PST, featuring husband-and-wife superstars Amy Grant and Vince Gill with the Boston Pops.
• Biography: Santa Claus, Thursday, Dec. 18 from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. EST/PST, which will look at the legend of Santa and how he is perceived in other cultures.
• Ultimate Small Town Christmas, Thursday, Dec. 18 from 9 p.m.-11 p.m. EST/PST, which will shine a spotlight on seldom-seen but extraordinarily creative holiday festivities that put small towns on the map.
