Net2Phone, Moto, Cedar Point Team Up

Net2Phone Inc., Motorola Inc. and Cedar Point Communications -- which worked together to provide Liberty Cablevision of Puerto Rico with a voice-over-Internet-protocol platform -- plan to offer a joint solution to other cable providers.

The companies said they will jointly market a comprehensive VoIP platform that will include Cedar Point's “Safari C3” soft switch and element-management system; Motorola's cable-modem-termination-system routers and telephony cable modems; and Net2Phone hosted VoIP services.

Net2Phone said it has selected Cedar Point as its preferred partner for VoIP rollouts.
