By Multi Channel News Staff -- Multichannel News, 4/7/2003 11:15:00 AM

The Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, Fox Cable Networks Group and Multichannel News announced the "Customer Retention Case Study Competition" Monday.

The study recognizes the most effective marketing and operational efforts to retain basic and advanced cable-television customers.

Entries must be submitted to CTAM by 5 p.m. EST Friday, May 16.

The competition is seeking successful customer-retention concepts that have achieved significant, documented results. Entries will be evaluated based on strategy development, implementation and analysis of results.

Winning case studies will be shared with CTAM members both at The CTAM Summit and on the group's Web site (www.ctam.com), so that industry professionals can learn from the leaders in customer retention.

First-place winners will be invited to speak at Summit 2003, scheduled for July 20 through 23 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center in Seattle.
The competition is open to everyone in the industry, including operators, programmers and suppliers.

For more information about the case study competition, including the entry form, please visit "The Summit" section of CTAM's Web site.
