In Demand L.L.C. has added two more virtual video-on-demand channels -- children's and short films -- to its VOD lineup.
The children's channel draws on content from deals In Demand made with Classic Media and NANO TV, including TV shows Lassie, Mr. Magoo, Dick Tracy, Hercules and New Tales of the Wizard of Oz.
NANO produces short children's films including Clara, Nobody Gets Hurt and Bad Dog.
The short-films channel draws on product from Heavy.com (www.heavy.com), bthere.net Inc. (www.bthere.tv) and Palm Pictures, In Demand said.
Heavy.com produces programming geared to younger audiences, with titles including Behind the Music That Sucks, Blisster, Heavy Petting and American Suck Countdown.
bthere.net produces celebrity-focused reality TV.
The two channels join a music-video and Hollywood "extras" channel launched last year.
In Demand said Comcast Corp. is airing the virtual channels in Philadelphia.
The VOD network added that it plans to launch more virtual channels later this year, focusing on film festivals, documentaries and education.
