The Communications Workers of America weighed in on the $45 million compensation package Adelphia Communications Corp. plans to give Bill Schleyer and Ron Cooper, complaining that the MSO isn't "even willing to pay the industry standard of a 3.5 percent wage increase to hourly employees."
Adelphia "should be striving to preserve employee morale and to depart from the corporate excesses of its past, rather than seeking to enrich new executives with inordinate sums," CWA said in a U.S. Bankruptcy Court filing.
